In this article  discus about Oil/Fuel Pressure Sensor ,what is fuel rail pressure sensor? and also tire pressure sensor fault. First we know about pressure sensor.it is a  pressure measurement device which is sense pressure and convert into electrical signal it can  also  said pressure transducer. An oil pressure sensor is a device used to measure the oil pressure on any engine. Oil pressure sensor is actually a term that covers at least two different types of sensor one is  oil pressure switch and another oil pressure sender. The oil pressure switch is installed in an engine. It monitors the oil pressure and turns off or on a warning light or controls an oil pressure indicating function. The oil pressure switch is normally closed. When the ignition is switched on, the oil pressure warning light up.

Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor

Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor ,Basically it is used in diesel engine of fuel injection system for monitoring fuel pressure. it is three wire piezoelectric sensor/Stearin gauge which is fixed on common rail shown in picture in below

                                    

Fuel rail Pressure Sensor is connected to engine control unit, which  is the central computer of a vehicle. The signals of  fuel rail pressure sensor how much fuel needs to be sent through the fuel injectors.

Tire Pressure Sensor

It is a  small size electronic device which is measure the Pressure and Temperature of  any vehicle tires and send the data on display. It also known as TPMS (Tier Pressure Monitoring System).

It is fixed on the each tier . It two types indirect TPMS and Indirect TPMS.

Indirect TPMS

It is  sensors measure the rate of revolution each wheel is making and can be used by on-board computer systems to compare with each other wheel speed. An indirect tire pressure monitoring system doesn’t actually measure tire pressure. An indirect TPMS simply measures how fast your tires are rotating.

Direct TPMS

The direct tire pressure monitoring system sends all of this data like Temperature and Pressure to a centralized control module. where it’s analyzed if tire pressure is lower than it should be, transmitted directly to your dashboard where the indicator light up. A direct tire pressure monitor usually sends all of this wirelessly.

It means a condition affecting the TPMS on the vehicle. Sometimes the light might come on to let you know there is a problem where the air pressure of a tire is too high or low. It means there is a fault with the system.
